New Dashboard added to Desktop
We have made a change to the desktop which you see when you first log into goowy. This desktop page is now meant to be a dashboard for all of the things that you can do with the goowy (re) application. The page is divided into 3 columns:
1. Use goowy - These are typical actions that you would perform in goowy on a daily basis for example check email, compose a new message, add a calendar event, view widgets, play games, etc.
2. Configure Settings - These commands can be used to personalize your goowy experience. They include configurations such as mail settings (to add external accounts to goowy - we currently support one other account), importing contacts, setting up your email signature, skins, etc.
3. Other - We just didnt know where to put these so we addded them under "other" :) Here you can view the goowy blog for updates, read our news, contact us, etc.
We also added the ability to set your default page. Prior to this new dashboard you used to automatically log into the "Widgets" view. You can now change your default view to any screen i.e. mail, contacts, calendar, widgets, etc. To do this either click on "Select default view" under the "Configure Settings" options on the new default page or go to options > general settings.
We hope you enjoy this new dashboard view. We have a lot more coming soon including making adding external accounts very simple, adding virtual storage (allowing you to store and manage files inside of the goowy virutal desktop), integrated IM and more!
Please let us know what is important to you so that we can add it to goowy.
I think I liked the orginal set up better. The current set up seems kinda boring and confusing, because the average user just needs to look at he/her email, instead of having to look over each column to find the "check email" button (unless they did it so many times that they know where it is). But it's okay I guess. I'm not sure. LOL - Brian

It'd be nice if we could subscribe to online calendars, or parse a .ics that is hosted online... or at least be able to import .ics files.

I'm dying to know about this 10gb of virtual storage for free? Any launch date in mind :)

I agree with Lee, I'd love for the calendar to be able to subscribe to an remote calendar / .ics file. Until then, it's useless to me.

To the contrary: this new set up is superb and very mordern! What with the new interfaces of Yahoo and Hotmail - Goowy, has to keep ahead! And this is it: Ilove it! This is what the future of email is all about!
I too would like a calender.

I just noticed the calender!! Great!! Now - all we need is speed; for all the features.
Though, the loading speed has improved a lot, at times it slows, especially when navigating from one feature to another.

Good, because u removed the ugly "logout" link (in the upper left corner of the earlier 'widgets' page), and now the 'dashboard' is not at all required because all the users, I am sure, will go thru all the services provided by goowy once they 've signed up. "Goowy is such a great thing".
"Now almost all users are goowing everyday",aren't they?
Also users aren't able to see the entire skin which they would 've uploaded to Goowy.
See if it is possible to place the "manage widgets" icon beside other buttons(Desktop,wigets,Mail....)so that the Desktop page looks incredible
Dashboard is really not required and I am sure to it.
People might be saying that "Dashboard feature is good only beacuse they ve seen, more or less a change in goowy.
Everyone love to change, but the change should also be purposeful.

Thanks for everyones comments....by the way we added a new feature in the new launch page. You can select your default login page. So that if you want to default mail, calendar, widgets, etc as your login you can do so. Just go to options > general settings and you will see the option for settings your default page.
We have a lot in the works, including virtual storage, integrated IM, and a huge update for the widgets coming soon :)

Hi,
I've been using Goowy for the past two months and am enjoying it quite a bit.
One suggestion: it would be nice if there was an option to close the Dashboard in Desktop mode, so that I can enjoy the desktop image without an obstructed view.
If that's not possible, enabling a transparency option would suffice.
Thanks again, and keep up the great work!

Might be slightly off topic, but I've been edging to get this out. Okay who would win in a fight, Obama or Bush? :D
I'd say Obama would pull out with some slick moves he's got up his sleeve. :-p
Comments?

hey guys. I've been lurking here for a few months and I thought I'd finally make a post. My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I want to get him something nice but I'm a little short on cash... (shopping and all).
So here's my question... has anyone here ever bought a replica watch online before? obviously he'll know it's a replica watch... I'm not trying to fool him or anything :)
But I'm curious about if anyone has ever bought from a site and NOT gotten scammed. I've read a lot of bad things about a lot of different websites.
I've been reading replicawatchnews.com and they have a few sites to avoid, but there are hundreds out there and it's just not enough.
Should I just buy from the sites they recommend? Should I just get a new boyfriend whose birthday isn't coming up? Should I buy myself a new purse instead? Let me know what you guys think :)
